MicroSort is available to reduce the probability of X-Linked Diseases and Family Balancing. Basic qualifications for enrollment in the MicroSort Clinical Trial are listed below.
Genetic Disease:
New patients who desire to use MicroSort to reduce the probability of genetic disease transmission must meet the following minimum qualifications:
Married couple
Known carrier of X-linked or X-limited disorder
Husband and wife (donor if applicable) negative for HIV and Hepatitis B & C
Family Balancing (Important family balancing policy details):
New patients who desire to use MicroSort for family balancing must meet the following minimum qualifications:
Married couple
Must have at least one child
Sort for the less represented sex of children in the family
Wife (donor if applicable) 18-39 years of age
Husband and wife (donor if applicable) negative for HIV and Hepatitis B & C
